I got my start in digital capture at Dtouch, helping them establish their New York operation. I took a room of unorganized cables and equipment and turned it into a production ready operation providing digital capture services to some of the most succesful photographers in the world, including: Mert and Marcus, Mario Testino, Mikael Jansson, Jenny Gage and Tom Betterton, and Camilla Akrans.
After leaving Dtouch I created and managed a digital capture department for Primary Photographic. While there I ordered, configured and maintained equipment capable of self-sufficient location setups in Mexico and 12-day catalog shoots in New York. I installed and configured an automated server-based backup supporting our digital capture and retouching departments. I was also responsible for general IT solutions and the asset management system.
Most recently I managed the digital department at Splashlight Studios. While there I specialized in creating very high volume workflows to support multiple simultaneous shoots for clients like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Ann Taylor and Nordstrom. I cultivated a wiki system with RSS feeds and an instant message server to distribute information and shoot standards. I also worked with the IT department to grow our infrastructure to support our clients and internal needs.
In total, I’ve helped establish or reestablish four digital capture departments in New York. I can source and configure every camera, software application, cable, and computer your company will need. I also have a talented pool of freelancers at my disposal.
